It’s a tabloid sized newspaper that is given away for free everyday (M-F) at all major MRT & LRT terminals. It’s content of news and entertainment is in Taglish and is designed with the typical rail user in mind. It’s maiden issue was June 4, 2007. Commuter Express is published by Silverstream Publishing Corp.

It’s editorial team is headed by Editor-In-Chief Manny Marinay, a veteran newspaper man. Formerly a beat reporter, he has covered the police and military beats extensively. In recognition of his talents and hard work, he rose to become an Associate Editor at Manila Times and later an Editor at Manila Bulletin. At one point or the other, Manny was responsible for closing such diverse sections such as entertainment, environment, and the news sections. As EIC of eXPRESS, he and his editorial team are responsible for churning out up-to-the-minute news and entertainment in CX’s 8 and 12 page formats from Monday to Friday.

Management Team:

It’s management team, is headed by its President and CEO, Mr. Victor A. Caluag. He is a professional manager who has held key positions in several top 500 companies. He holds a Master In Business Degree (MBM ‘94) from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). He has 3 years newspaper experience as Sales and Marketing Director of the Manila Standard Today (MST), a nationally distributed broad sheet.

It’s sales team, is headed by EVP for Sales & Marketing, Ms. Tonette R. Henson. She is an 18 year veteran in the industry. She started her sales career in non-traditional advertising and later joined Manila Standard as a Junior Account Executive. She steadily rose up the sales hierarchy to become Advertising Manager for Manila Standard Today and Standard Express. She now leads Commuter eXPRESS’ team of seasoned account executives.
