Use safe Christmas lights – Echiverri

CALOOCAN City Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri urged the residents to use only safe Christmas lights this holiday season and avoid serious risk of starting a fire or causing electric shocks – or both.
Echiverri issued the warning after he earlier directed City Administrator Russel Ramirez and the Caloocan Market Inspection Division to check if the festive lights being sold in the city bear the tamper-proof Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) seal issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bureau of Product Standards.
